Principal + Lead Designer

Most kids draw animals. I drew floor plans.
My sister and I would create imaginary homes for fun, playing with furniture layouts and colouring rooms on computer paper. Looking back, it was probably the earliest sign that I was destined for this career path.
I went on to receive a Master’s of Interior Architecture from Boston Architectural College, along with a foundation in Studio Arts from my undergraduate studies in Massachusetts.
I've spent over a decade working across interior design, project management and construction, with experience spanning the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, where I now call home. Currently based in Adelaide, I’m also a Design Institute of Australia Accredited Designer (MDIA), with the DIA being Australia’s national professional body for designers.
My time as a design and construction project manager is worth highlighting. On the delivery side, I was responsible for taking the design off the page and making it happen. Coordinating consultants, trades, suppliers and clients, solving problems on site, managing budgets, schedules and ultimately making sure the finished project honoured the design intent while keeping all of those moving parts working together.
That experience fundamentally shaped how I design today. I understand not just how something should look, but how it needs to be detailed, built and executed. I know where beautiful ideas can become impractical and where a little extra thought can make a huge difference.
Ultimately, I wanted to get back on the front end of design and that's how Studio SQ was born. Welcome to my little corner of the world! I am so glad you are here.
